Structural Packaging Designer

Location: Onsite at the Miami Gardens, Florida facility; must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: Starting at $75,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Create structural packaging and point-of-purchase display designs for new and existing products.
• Translate customer needs into drawings, prototypes, samples, and manufacturable production solutions.
• Recommend materials and production methods while considering plant capabilities, efficiency, cost, and waste.
• Conduct packaging and component testing, evaluate results, and communicate findings to customers, sales, and manufacturing.
• Coordinate graphics, prototypes, samples, dies, vendors, material availability, troubleshooting, and production setup approvals.
• Provide technical support to sales and customer service representatives and guide junior designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in graphic design, structural design, art, engineering, or packaging.
• At least four years of experience creating and designing packaging and point-of-purchase displays.
• Strong knowledge of production and printing methods, packaging materials, design forms, and retail applications.
• Experience with computer systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CAD software.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry.
• Technical understanding of corrugated packaging design, cutting dies, converting machinery, and printing.
