Technical Writer (Software Documentation)

Location: Strongsville, Ohio, USA; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Create and maintain user documentation, including online help, user guides, tutorials, release notes, and training materials.
• Translate technical information into clear, user-friendly, grammatically correct content.
• Prepare and maintain support documentation across multiple formats.
• Write client communications about software updates, maintenance windows, and required actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, programmer analysts, and quality assurance analysts to ensure documentation accuracy.
• Identify and report quality issues discovered during documentation work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, or a similar field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage writing projects from start to finish.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, RoboHelp, or MadCap Flare.
