Analyst, Commercial Real Estate

Location: Addison, Texas, or Montpelier, Vermont; onsite four days per week on Monday through Thursday

Salary: $54,000–$79,200 USD per year

What you will do

• Underwrite commercial mortgage opportunities through cash-flow modeling, debt sizing, credit analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
• Build and maintain financial models covering cash flows, IRR, NPV, interest rates, vacancy, and exit assumptions.
• Evaluate properties across multifamily, industrial, retail, office, and niche sectors.
• Support loan structuring, including amortization, covenants, reserves, pricing, and capital-stack analysis.
• Coordinate appraisals, engineering, environmental, legal, sponsor, and internal stakeholder reviews through closing.
• Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, risk ratings, reporting, and asset management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field, plus at least two years of related experience.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, financial functions, and NPV.
• Experience with financial modeling, underwriting, commercial real estate fundamentals, capital structures, and capital-market pricing.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• MBA in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Three to five years of commercial real estate experience.
• VBA in Excel and experience with ARGUS CRE valuation software.
