Field Applications Engineer (Analog & Power): Supporting customer power and analog system designs from architecture and component selection through validation, debugging, and production readiness with an accent on power tree design, analog signal chains, and system-level integration. Location: Boston, MA, United States; must be located in New England, preferably in the Boston area. Remote work is not available.

Salary: USD 90,000–132,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities.

What you will do

  • Lead customer power architecture development, including power tree design, device selection, sequencing, and system optimization.
  • Provide pre- and post-design technical support through schematic reviews, component selection, design workshops, and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate hirify.global analog and power products, including PMICs, DC/DC converters, GaN and MOSFET devices, LDOs, battery-management solutions, and signal-chain products.
  • Perform board bring-up, measurements, validation, transient-response testing, failure analysis, and hands-on debugging in the lab.
  • Support integration between power systems, MCUs/MPUs, DDR, high-speed interfaces, and connectivity subsystems.
  • Deliver customer training and technical seminars while providing field feedback to product divisions and influencing roadmap priorities.

Requirements

  • Must be located in New England, preferably in the Boston area; remote work is not available.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; an MSEE is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in analog and power electronics in a customer-facing or design role.
  • Expertise in power conversion and management, including buck/boost converters, PMICs, LDOs, power-tree sequencing, and battery-powered systems.
  • Understanding of analog signal chains, including amplifiers, data converters, sensors, filtering, noise, stability, and signal integrity.
  • Availability to travel approximately 10–20% as needed for customer engagements.

Nice to have

  • Experience with schematic and PCB layout reviews focused on power integrity and thermal considerations.
  • Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal analysis, and bench characterization.
  • Experience translating complex technical concepts into customer-facing solutions and value propositions.
