What you will do

• Support the design and development of VPS power supply products, including circuit design, component selection, simulation, testing, PCB layout, and assembly.
• Build breadboard circuits, evaluate electrical performance, and collect data from experiments and analytical testing.
• Perform failure analysis and process prototype kits for verification testing and product qualification.
• Support sustaining engineering for existing product lines and collaborate with Sales and Applications Engineering on customer-related product support.
• Develop product schedules, test and qualification plans, objective specifications, bills of materials, and assembly and PC board drawings.
• Work with internal organizations to support the smooth introduction and manufacture of highly reliable products.

Requirements

• BSEE required; MSEE preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in switch-mode power supply design.
• Extensive knowledge of high-frequency switching power supply topologies and control architectures.
• Experience with high-frequency magnetic design, power conversion circuit analysis, circuit simulation, feedback control theory, layout considerations, and EMC compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, PSpice, OrCAD, Mathcad, MATLAB, or Excel.

• Firmware experience and working knowledge.
