Salary: $125,250 - $183,700

What you will do

• Architect, design, and test high-power audio amplifiers and power supplies.
• Lead and participate in technical design reviews and advise on all product design aspects.
• Ensure products meet customer requirements, internal specifications, and cost targets.
• Conduct research and development of new power electronics technologies and products.
• Release and maintain controlled technical documentation in the company system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (12+ years exp), Master's (8+ years), or PhD (4+ years) in power electronics analysis and design.
• Expertise in power electronics, including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and Power Factor Correction (PFC).
• Proficiency in ECAD tools such as Xpedition or Altium.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools like Simplis and LTspice.
• Knowledge of global safety regulatory requirements (CSA, UL) and EMC compliance techniques.
• Willingness to work in the Richardson, TX office and travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in Professional or Consumer Audio/Video systems.
• Knowledge of PWM Class D switching amplifier design, including feedback and power stage simulation.
• Thermal design experience for power semiconductors (natural and forced air convection).
• Experience with transformer/magnetic design.
• Experience working with wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies (GaN/SiC).
