TL;DR
Associate Director, BU Technical Services (Manufacturing): Leading technical and operational strategies across a complex manufacturing and supply chain network with an accent on manufacturing technology, innovation commercialization, capital planning, and operational capability development. Focus on scaling new products and packaging, prioritizing multi-site capital investments, integrating digital manufacturing tools, and driving reliability and continuous improvement.

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote; travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $131,300–$316,700 annually, depending on applicable U.S. pay zone and work location, plus eligibility for incentive plans.

What you will do

  • Lead business-unit technical strategy, product and process innovation, manufacturing technology, and technical programs.
  • Direct manufacturing readiness, commercialization, scale-up, reformulation, packaging innovation, supplier qualification, and operational loss elimination.
  • Own the business-unit capital portfolio, including long-range planning, prioritization, business cases, governance, resource allocation, and project execution.
  • Lead and develop multi-site technical teams through performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Partner with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, HSE, Planning, Commercial, and external technical partners.
  • Drive reliability, process improvement, risk management, operational excellence, and integration of digital manufacturing and predictive-maintenance tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in CPG, food and beverage, household products, personal care, or a similarly complex manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading multi-site engineering or technical teams, capital programs, third-party engineering services, regulatory compliance, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies, spare-parts management, mechanical systems, supply chain interdependencies, financial analysis, and structured root-cause problem solving.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders from frontline teams to senior executives and deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%, domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Digital manufacturing systems experience, including MES and historians.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification and change-leadership experience.
