Sr Mechanical Designer (Creo)

What you will do

• Develop new mechanical product concepts from ideas, rough sketches, and minimal design inputs.
• Create conceptual models and system-level layouts to evaluate feasibility, space requirements, and packaging constraints.
• Design equipment layouts inside tanks and enclosures, considering clearances, serviceability, and manufacturability.
• Establish advanced Creo CAD architectures, modeling strategies, and design standards.
• Support design trade studies, bills of materials, tolerance requirements, and downstream manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional support while managing multiple complex assignments.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical design and product development experience.
• Expert Creo experience with advanced modeling, large assemblies, and complex layouts.
• Extensive hands-on Windchill experience and demonstrated concept-to-production design experience.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, mechanical troubleshooting, and manufacturability.
• Strong communication, creative problem-solving, and task-management skills across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Research and development experience.
• Knowledge of power distribution equipment, switchgear systems, and multiple G&W product lines.
• Creo Superuser certification or equivalent advanced certification.
• Experience with JD Edwards or a similar ERP system.
