Sr. Design Engineer (Electrical Systems)

Location: Peoria, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Travel is up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

What you will do

• Lead small New Product Introduction projects by designing products and releasing drawings.
• Design electrical systems for the Medium Wheel Loader operator station.
• Ensure continuity between cab electrical systems and the overall machine electrical system.
• Develop low-cost electrical system solutions.
• Support product quality initiatives and design maintenance.
• Collaborate with component, manufacturing, supplier, facility, and global product-group partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of computer-aided design and engineering tools, including producing, analyzing, simulating, and testing product design drafts.
• Experience designing and developing products from concept through production.
• Ability to analyze root causes, develop solutions, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with operator-station and machine electrical-system design.
• Ability to work onsite in Peoria five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with CREO or other parametric modeling software.
