Managing Consultant - Architecture within Energy and Utilities

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least 2 days per week in the office or on client site, and up to 5 days per week on client site depending on the assignment

What you will do

• Help shape and launch new architecture service propositions and contribute to strategic business growth.
• Lead business development initiatives, including pre-sales, proposal development, client engagement, and trusted relationship building.
• Advise FTSE 100 clients in the Energy and Utilities sector on complex business and technology challenges.
• Shape and communicate architectural strategies across application, business, and integration domains.
• Lead architecture and development teams delivering impactful end-to-end solutions.
• Coach team members through knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and development opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading architecture and development teams and delivering end-to-end solutions for complex client challenges.
• Strong understanding of the Energy and Utilities sector, with experience in banking, insurance, payments, or wealth management.
• Ability to communicate architectural strategies across multiple domains and translate technical insight into business value.
• Experience contributing to business development through pre-sales, proposals, and client engagement.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks and modelling tools such as UML and ArchiMate.
• Established senior-stakeholder relationships within financial services and the ability to expand long-term client partnerships.

Nice to have

• Awareness of emerging architecture trends and technologies.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, packaged solutions, cloud/on-premise models, agile delivery, or digital transformation.
