Senior Financial Analyst – Investment Management

Location: Addison, Texas, or Montpelier, Vermont

Salary: $75,000–$110,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Calculate and review investment management agreement fees, including base fees, offsets, and performance-linked components.
• Allocate operating expenses across investment strategies and asset classes and maintain supporting methodology documentation.
• Prepare management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analyses for NLG Capital.
• Calculate private asset performance metrics, including IRR, MOIC, and investment multiples.
• Validate internal and third-party performance and carried interest calculations, partnering with Human Resources on carry compensation.
• Coordinate with investment, operations, legal, finance, and external service-provider teams while improving calculation controls and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience at an asset manager, public accounting firm, or similar organization, including meaningful private-markets exposure.
• Hands-on experience with investment management fee calculations, expense allocations, financial reporting, and investment management operations.
• Experience calculating or validating private investment performance metrics such as IRR and MOIC.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with general ledger systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA, CFA, or progress toward either credential.
• Experience with carried interest, performance-based incentive compensation, private fund accounting, fund administration, or alternative investment operations.
• Experience coordinating third-party performance or carry calculations.
• Experience with performance or carry software.
