Technical Writer (HVAC)

Location: Redmond, Oregon, United States; onsite full-time

Pay range: $25.29–$37.94 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain user manuals, installation instructions, product guides, technical sheets, labels, and controls-related documentation.
• Organize and improve the structure, accessibility, and accuracy of technical content and supporting assets.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and marketing teams to gather accurate and timely product information.
• Develop communication materials for digital platforms, including websites and social media.
• Proofread and revise documentation while following established procedures and company standards.
• Manage production timelines for product updates and new releases, supporting cross-departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus experience in technical writing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience developing user manuals, installation instructions, and technical guides.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, collaboration, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with documentation tools and content management systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Workiva, and database management software.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly content, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and periodically visit the manufacturing facility, including exposure to seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fumes.
