What you will do

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC, milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading, lathe, punch press, shear, band saw, and press brake equipment.
• Program CNC machines using G and M codes or conversational programming languages.
• Fabricate and verify metallic and nonmetallic door components through machining and fabric testing.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders, and use jigs, fixtures, and gauges to maintain tight tolerances.
• Record and review testing, production, service, and materials data while monitoring inventory and performing cycle counts.
• Collaborate with engineering, programming, and production staff; train coworkers and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical-school education, six months to one year of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Prior CNC and conventional machining experience is preferred; CNC programming experience is strongly desired.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and process documentation and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and geometric tolerancing.
• Problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and basic computer skills for operating CNC interfaces and maintaining documentation.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, and regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs, or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery, vibration, loud noise, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and electrical hazards while wearing required safety gear.
