Intern Biotechnologist, Manufacturing

Location: Modulus facility in Tuas, Singapore; full-time on-site presence required. Ad hoc work-from-home arrangements may be approved based on individual circumstances and business needs. Typical hours are 7:45am–4:45pm, Monday to Friday, with possible 12-hour rotating day and night shifts including weekends once the facility is operational.

hirify.global is developing a digitalized and automated modular biomanufacturing facility in Singapore for vaccines and Specialty Care biologics products.

What you will do

• Support commissioning and qualification activities for manufacturing equipment and digital systems, including automation, MES, ERP, and PCS.
• Execute routine GMP manufacturing operations in line with process, quality, and safety standards.
• Participate in tech transfer, engineering runs, and product validation runs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing areas through standard housekeeping procedures.
• Support regulatory readiness through documentation, training materials, risk assessments, and audit preparation.
• Use digital tools and automation platforms while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in biologics manufacturing and GMP operations.
• Understanding of laboratory safety and basic biotechnological processes.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, presentation, and technical-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Open to shift work, including 12-hour rotating day and night shifts and weekend work if required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with digital manufacturing systems such as MES and ERP.
