Salary: $65,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop engineered project solutions that create customer value and competitive advantages in bid situations.
• Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals for HVAC systems, with a focus on design-build and complex commercial opportunities.
• Serve as the technical point of contact during preconstruction and support accurate proposal development.
• Qualify projects by assessing scope, risks, delivery approach, award timelines, customer expectations, and overall fit.
• Build relationships with customers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors while identifying new business opportunities.
• Partner with sales teams to define project scopes, refine budgets, and align technical and commercial requirements.

Requirements

• Mechanical design background with the ability to translate customer challenges into engineered solutions.
• Business development experience with general contractors.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ductwork, plumbing, and piping systems.
• Client management skills, including managing customer relationships, perceptions, and expectations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost estimating and engineering functions.
• Knowledge of strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or Construction Engineering Management.
• Veteran or previous military experience.
