TL;DR
Accounting Technician (Finance/Bookkeeping): Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations with an accent on accounts payable, payments, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. Focus on posting month-end journal entries, improving accounting processes, and implementing internal controls.
Location: Onsite in Laval, Quebec, Canada

Family-owned global metal recycling business with more than 125 sites and 4,000 employees, processing catalytic converters to recover and refine platinum group metals.
What you will do
- Enter purchases, expenses, and other routine financial transactions.
- Monitor accounts payable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor accounts.
- Manage group-wide and company-wide intercompany transactions.
- Support month-end activities, process improvements, and internal control implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, self-driven approach.
- Fluency in French and English is required.
