Med Tech (Certified)

Location: 1587 Old Freehold Rd, Toms River, NJ 08755, USA; part-time/per-diem shifts from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; weekend and holiday availability required.

Salary: USD 22.00–23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Administer or assist with self-administration of prescribed medications under RN or LPN supervision.
• Maintain accurate medication records and other required medical documentation.
• Provide resident care according to individual care plans and physician’s orders.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical condition, cognition, or emotional status.
• Protect residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity while delivering services.
• Complete annual medication training and comply with applicable regulations and certification standards.

Requirements

• Successful completion of Medication Technician training and periodic competency testing.
• Ability to administer medications in accordance with state regulations.
• At least six months of experience working with seniors in personal care, home health, hospital, or long-term care.
• High school diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow HIPAA policies.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and supporting residents.
