Medical Assistant Instructor - Full Time

Location: Campus-based in Sacramento, California, USA

Compensation: USD 30–40 per hour; compensation is based on prior teaching experience. The description also lists USD 28–32 per hour.

What you will do

• Deliver prepared medical assisting instruction and technological and academic training.
• Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with syllabus objectives, student abilities, learning styles, and individual accommodations.
• Advise students on academic progress and careers, identify barriers to achievement, and refer students to appropriate campus services.
• Identify students at risk of leaving the course and support retention activities.
• Evaluate student learning through cooperative learning, reports, teamwork, and other methods.
• Collaborate with campus departments, academic committees, and institutional initiatives while following company and accreditation procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma; advanced education or a college degree is preferred, with equivalent experience considered.
• At least three years of hands-on clinical experience as a medical assistant.
• Current knowledge of medical assistant practice and the ability to mentor a diverse student population.
• Strong interpersonal, oral presentation, and communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Compliance with state, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations is required.

Nice to have

• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential such as RMA, CMA, or NRCMA.
• Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
