TL;DR

What you will do
- Liaise with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and other authorities on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Screen contractors, verify qualifications, and provide safe-work training for on-site activities.
- Lead site HSE steering committees, safety task forces, and safety committees.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments, routine inspections, and risk-reduction activities across production, material handling, and administrative areas.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage HSE documentation, permits, licenses, waste programs, performance indicators, preventive maintenance safety activities, and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Requirements
- Degree in environmental science, safety, or an equivalent field.
- At least two years of experience in manufacturing or an equivalent environment.
- Competency in scheduled waste management (CePSWam).
- Experience with HSE compliance, inspections, training, incident investigation, and corrective actions.
- Ability to work onsite in Batu Kawan, Malaysia.
Nice to have
- Safety and Health Officer Certificate.
- Ergonomics Trained Person (ETP) competency.
