Contracts Manager (Construction Commercial Management)

Compensation range: $99,431.03–$113,635.46 per year

What you will do

• Act as the subject matter expert on contractual and commercial matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interpret and administer contract terms, requirements, obligations, risks, and entitlements.
• Lead the evaluation of potential change orders, change orders, and contract modifications, including scope, pricing, schedule, and compliance impacts.
• Review contractor claims, requests for equitable adjustment, delay claims, and contractual disputes.
• Identify commercial risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and support dispute avoidance and resolution.
• Coordinate with project management, scheduling, cost management, construction teams, consultants, contractors, and owners on forecasting, cost control, documentation, and commercial recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Approximately 7 or more years of progressively responsible experience in construction project management, commercial management, contract administration, or change management.
• Experience with a general contractor or construction management firm, preferably in a Construction Manager-at-Risk environment.
• Experience managing the commercial aspects of large, complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, change orders, claims management, schedule analysis, project controls, pricing, delays, and risk allocation.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
