Payroll Tax Specialist

hirify.global provides software and related tools for managing payroll tax processes for clients across the United States.

What you will do

• Process, review, and file original and amended federal, state, and local payroll tax returns.
• Monitor payroll records and audit new client setups for accurate tax codes and configurations.
• Generate, audit, and correct W-2 forms.
• Maintain current knowledge of payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Provide responsive customer support by phone and email while collaborating with internal departments.
• Maintain organized documentation and work extended hours during peak quarterly tax seasons.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in payroll, tax, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of payroll tax processes and willingness to learn federal, state, and local regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, critical thinking, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and customer support skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.

Nice to have

• Experience processing payroll taxes for multiple companies.
• Experience with multi-state payroll tax processes.
• Experience with MasterTax or hirify.global.
• Construction payroll experience.
