Test Engineer - R & D and Manufacturing (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Design and build proprietary automated test equipment hardware and software for comprehensive power converter testing.
• Develop test software modules with the Universal Software Test Architecture using C++ and Visual Basic across computer platforms and embedded microcontrollers.
• Integrate off-the-shelf instrumentation using GPIB, VXI, PXI, and serial communication protocols.
• Analyze manufacturing process performance with Minitab, JMP, SPC, DOE, and regression analysis.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on test procedures and circuit schematics aligned with product specifications.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering with optimization and ongoing maintenance of existing automated test systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 2+ years of analog design or test engineering experience for analog products.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and embedded operating systems.
• Experience with C++ and automated test equipment and microcontroller programming.
• Knowledge of power supply testing and analog and digital hardware involving power electronics.
• Ability to document software and hardware development throughout the testing process.

Nice to have

• Visual Basic programming experience.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL, or ODBC databases.
• Experience with Altium or equivalent drafting tools.
• Power electronics testing experience.
