TL;DR
Associate Analyst, Capital Management (Insurance Capital Management): Running and improving capital forecasting models, validating regulatory capital results, and preparing analysis for current and future capital positions with an accent on RBC, S&P capital models, and insurance risk analysis. Focus on developing roll-forward forecasts, evaluating capital charge changes, building ORSA scenarios, and supporting Group Capital Calculation filings and governance meetings.

Location: Onsite in Addison, TX, or Montpelier, VT, with office attendance four days per week on Monday through Thursday.

Salary: $64,125–$94,050 USD per year.

What you will do

  • Run, populate, validate, and maintain quarterly and ad hoc capital forecasting models.
  • Prepare capital analysis, presentation materials, waterfalls, and reporting for management and governance meetings.
  • Develop quarter-end and year-end forecasts for NLIC, LSW, and S&P AAA and AA capital levels.
  • Analyze the impact of proposed RBC and S&P capital charge changes and capital strategies, including reinsurance, non-admitted assets, and block sales.
  • Support annual ORSA sensitivities and scenarios, Group Capital Calculation processes, and NAIC filings.
  • Document processes, improve model efficiency, and collaborate with internal finance, actuarial, and risk management partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Studies, or a similar quantitative field.
  • At least three years of related experience in finance, actuarial work, capital management, risk management, or a similar analytical field.
  • Strong analytical, judgment, prioritization, and deadline-management skills in a changing finance environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and working knowledge of Word.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work through ambiguity.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

  • Experience with capital forecasting, RBC, S&P capital models, ORSA, or Group Capital Calculation processes.
  • Experience preparing financial analysis, model outputs, or presentation materials for management or governance meetings.
  • Experience with insurance, financial services, risk management, or actuarial teams.
  • Process documentation and capital model improvement experience.
