Mechanical Engineer (Product Development)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Create mechanical product concepts, 3D models, and prototypes for anchors, fasteners, and structural connectors.
• Support the R&D lifecycle through engineering calculations, finite element analysis, design iterations, and testing coordination.
• Apply knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, surface treatment, milling, turning, and design for manufacturing.
• Prepare product structural calculations, competitor benchmarks, and standardized calculation templates.
• Plan and coordinate laboratory testing, establish the design of experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in the US, EU, Canada, and local teams on product development and international standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Coursework or familiarity with CAD modeling; Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar software is preferred.
• Knowledge of preliminary and advanced structural calculations, mechanical performance, load capacity, durability, and reliability analysis.
• Understanding of basic metallurgical concepts, material test reports, technical data sheets, and conventional manufacturing processes.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 or above, equivalent to TOEIC 700 or IELTS 6.0.
• Well-organized, diligent, responsible, creative, and capable of solving engineering problems.

Nice to have

• Exposure to thread rolling for fasteners and progressive-die stamping for sheet-metal components.
• Programming or CAD automation experience with Python, iLogic, VBA, C, or C++.
• Knowledge of German or French.
• Interest in structural design, general engineering, or research.
