TL;DR
Pipeline Designer (Oil & Gas): Preparing detailed pipeline designs, drawings, and layouts for onshore and offshore oil and gas EPC projects with an accent on CAD/3D modeling, route alignment, engineering standards, and multidisciplinary coordination. Focus on performing clash checks, resolving design issues, supporting HAZOP/HAZID and constructability reviews, and maintaining accurate as-built documentation.

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite, full-time

What you will do

  • Develop detailed pipeline drawings, plans, layouts, and schematics for onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Prepare route selections, alignment sheets, and material take-offs.
  • Maintain pipeline drawings and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review vendor drawings, perform clash checks, and incorporate feedback.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to resolve design issues.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/HAZID sessions, constructability reviews, and as-built documentation.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience; middle-level position.
  • Experience preparing pipeline designs for onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Proficiency with CAD/3D software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDMS, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, and ISO codes, engineering standards, and project specifications.
  • Ability to work with engineers, project teams, and multiple engineering disciplines.
