Lead Piping Designer (Offshore)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role includes rotational travel to ADNOC offshore facilities for site surveys, brownfield assessments, installation verification, field data collection, and construction support.

What you will do

• Execute piping design activities across Concept, FEED, and Detail Engineering phases for offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Develop complex piping designs, equipment layouts, plot plans, piping general arrangements, and isometric drawings.
• Create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D models using PDMS, E3D, SP3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Conduct offshore site visits to verify existing installations, collect field data, and support brownfield engineering and as-built documentation.
• Review vendor drawings and coordinate piping deliverables with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and construction teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience delivering offshore piping deliverables through Concept, FEED, Detail Engineering, and EPCM projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience with ADNOC and Qatar Energies, offshore facilities, brownfield projects, production facilities, well pads, pipelines, CPF, production platforms, and gas plants.
• Minimum Diploma or ITI qualification in Piping and Mechanical Design.
• Proficiency in PDMS, E3D, SP3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D, along with 2D drafting and 3D design tools.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards, applicable industry codes, project specifications, engineering integrity, quality assurance, and document control.
• Valid OPITO-approved T-BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications with at least six months of validity are preferred for offshore travel.
