Adult Health Clinical Nursing Faculty

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Teach adult health medical-surgical nursing in inpatient healthcare settings.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students providing nursing care.
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback and remediation.
• Prepare clinical assignments, review coursework, and maintain current knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with course coordinators, clinical agencies, administrators, staff, and faculty regarding student and program needs.
• Support assessment, retention, policy implementation, regulatory compliance, and continuous program improvement.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Alaska.
• Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
