Experienced Associate, Asset-Backed Finance

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra. Hybrid work with a requirement to work from the Mumbai office at least 4 days per week.

What you will do

• Prepare, complete, and review financial models and sophisticated valuation analyses.
• Value mortgage whole loans, student loans, consumer loans, RMBS, CMBS, CLO, ABS, and other structured finance securities.
• Develop and refine valuation models, inputs, loss and prepayment vectors, and secondary market spreads.
• Write and review valuation reports, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Coordinate recurring valuation projects and provide oversight to analysts.
• Interact with clients, prepare deliverables, maintain valuation databases, and track capital markets.

Requirements

• Two to five years of structured products experience; four to six years of valuation experience is preferred.
• Advanced understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
• Financial modeling proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong writing, communication, organizational, and people-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics from a top-tier institution with a strong academic record.
• Must be able to work from the Mumbai office at least 4 days per week and must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Intex and Riskspan.
• Exposure to Python or other coding languages.
• Structuring, trading, or whole-loan modeling experience.
