Associate, Private IG (Private Credit)

What you will do

• Support the origination, structuring, underwriting, and execution of private investment-grade transactions across developed markets.
• Build and maintain company valuation, transaction cash-flow, scenario, downside-case, and structural waterfall models.
• Conduct fundamental credit analysis, assess capital structures and industries, and prepare credit memos and investment recommendations for the Investment Committee.
• Evaluate deal terms, covenants, and legal documentation while coordinating end-to-end execution with internal teams, advisors, lenders, borrowers, and agents.
• Monitor portfolio positions through financial performance tracking, covenant compliance testing, amendments, waivers, ratings updates, and early identification of credit deterioration.
• Contribute to research, regulatory analysis, process improvements, and AI-enabled tools for deal screening, underwriting, and portfolio surveillance.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, M&A, restructuring, private credit, infrastructure finance, or related areas.
• Bachelor’s degree with an exceptional academic record; CFA progress or charter preferred.
• Independent valuation and transaction cash-flow modelling experience with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong fundamental credit analysis, financial statement analysis, covenant review, documentation, and investment recommendation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions under tight timelines and communicate recommendations clearly in written and verbal formats.
• Based in London, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure, project finance, asset-backed structures, or structured credit.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, or comparable investment systems.
• Knowledge of insurance balance-sheet investing, including NAIC/SVO, RBC, Solvency II, and matching adjustment requirements.
• MBA or another advanced degree.
