Principal, Patching and Vulnerability (Cybersecurity)

Location: Dallas, TX; hybrid work environment with up to 2 days per week of remote work

Salary: $179,700–$299,700 per year, plus a 23%–30% target annual incentive range

What you will do

• Architect and design hirify.global’s patching and vulnerability management program across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
• Coordinate patching cycles with server, network, cloud engineering, security, and end-user experience teams.
• Integrate Qualys vulnerability scanning with the ServiceNow Security Vulnerability Response module.
• Design workflows, automation, governance frameworks, and lifecycle management processes for vulnerability remediation.
• Develop a near-real-time patching strategy for a highly available 24/7 production environment.
• Mentor and cross-train colleagues while driving operational resilience and technical excellence.

Requirements

• 7+ years of patching and vulnerability management experience.
• Extensive server and network administration experience across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
• Experience coordinating patching across multiple infrastructure teams without direct authority.
• Expertise in vulnerability scanning, CVE analysis, CVSS scoring, risk-based prioritization, and critical vulnerability response.
• Experience with Qualys, ServiceNow Security Vulnerability Response, and Qualys-to-ServiceNow workflow integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; industry certifications such as CISSP or ITIL are valued.

Nice to have

• Experience with rolling patch windows, blue/green deployment models, or live patching technologies.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, RHEL, VMware/vSphere, and SAN/NAS storage and firmware update coordination.
