Design Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the Dubuque, Iowa headquarters, USA

What you will do

• Manage broad and complex product development tasks and projects through the Stage Gate design process.
• Develop product requirements, concepts, prototypes, CAD drawings, and production-ready parts and products.
• Perform mathematical verification, design modeling, performance analysis, design-life evaluation, and failure analysis.
• Write test plans, direct verification testing, and design test stands, tooling, and fixtures.
• Coordinate with suppliers, prepare purchase specifications, and develop product cost estimates.
• Support production, customer service, applications, special-order engineering, aftermarket engineering, and customer-site troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a four-year college or university.
• At least two years of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent education and experience may be demonstrated through PE certification.
• Ability to lead project-team contributors and collaborate with stakeholders across the product development process.
• Ability to create and review accurate CAD drawings and models and execute engineering change notices.
