Regulatory Product Manager

Location: Hybrid role based in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, with flexibility to be located in Carlsbad, California, United States

Salary: $109,778–$139,783 per year

What you will do

• Monitor global regulatory developments covering product safety, chemicals, environmental compliance, labeling, packaging, and reporting.
• Interpret legal and technical regulations and translate them into practical guidance for Product Development, Sourcing, Quality, Operations, and Legal teams.
• Advise product teams and business leaders on compliance risks, mitigation strategies, commercialization decisions, and emerging regulatory opportunities.
• Define compliance standards, testing requirements, documentation expectations, and risk-based escalation frameworks.
• Oversee technical files, declarations of conformity, registrations, notifications, and audit support.
• Provide training, tools, and resources to strengthen regulatory awareness and compliance capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in product compliance, product safety, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of global product safety, chemical compliance, labeling, environmental regulations, and frameworks including REACH, RoHS, CPSIA, Proposition 65, and WEEE.
• Experience integrating regulatory requirements into product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain processes, preferably in consumer products or another regulated industry.
• Strong analytical, research, project management, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a matrixed environment and travel occasionally as required.
