What you will do

• Lead design and detailing of plumbing and fire protection systems including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, medical gas, and laboratory systems
• Perform and review engineering calculations, especially hydraulic for fire protection
• Develop solutions based on client needs, performance, first cost, and life-cycle considerations
• Communicate recommendations via meetings, presentations, and technical discussions while maintaining client relationships
• Conduct site observations, gather field data, and coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Mentor junior engineers, evaluate design alternatives, and stay current on emerging technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred or ability to obtain
• 8+ years in plumbing and fire protection system design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic modeling tools
• Strong hydraulic and plumbing calculation skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing abilities
