CNC & Manual Machinist (Saws, Lathes, Mills)

Location: Charter Dura-Bar, Woodstock, Illinois, United States; full-time onsite role with 2nd and 3rd shift availability

Salary: Starting at $25.75 per hour based on experience and education, plus $1.50–$2.25 per hour shift differentials

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and adjust saws, lathes, mills, and inspection equipment.
• Monitor product quality, perform inspections, and verify that specifications are met.
• Read and complete production documents and enter accurate information into computer systems.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and finished products.
• Load equipment, store materials, support shipping activities, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental, and ISO procedures while troubleshooting production issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; GED support is available through the GEDWorks program.
• 3–5 years of machining, foundry, or metals manufacturing experience.
• Experience operating band saws, lathes, mills, or similar machinery.
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and production documents, with strong decimal and measurement skills.
• Experience using tape measures, gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes, along with basic Microsoft Office and computer skills.
