Admix Tech (Pharmacy)

What you will do

• Prepare medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under physician supervision.
• Verify order completeness, patient information, physician authorization, and insurance approval.
• Calculate dosage volumes and prepare chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IV medications accurately and promptly under OSHA and departmental guidelines.
• Maintain controlled-drug counts, medication logs, lot-number documentation, temperature records, and quality-assurance records.
• Manage medication and supply inventory, including receiving, shelving, ordering, and monitoring expiration dates.
• Prepare labels, billing documentation, and pharmacy data entry while maintaining the admixture area and pharmacy sanitation standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of pharmacy experience with IV skills.
• Experience handling medication documentation, inventory, dosage calculations, and quality-control procedures.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, read and record measurements, and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Successful completion of a background check and non-federal drug test, excluding marijuana, after an offer and before hire.

Nice to have

• IV certification.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or compliance with applicable State Pharmacy Board requirements.
