Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-AIRPORT), United States; full-time on-site role

What you will do

• Review drawings and verify material availability before releasing orders for manufacturing.
• Coordinate Production, Engineering, Purchasing, scheduling, customers, and vendors to support on-time delivery.
• Stage and complete materials before job release and requisition additional materials as needed.
• Track and report progress against schedules, assist with shop and material scheduling, and expedite in-house activities.
• Resolve material shortages and support the shop foreman, Production Manager, and Superintendent.
• Contribute to process improvement and waste elimination initiatives.

Requirements

• Similar experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Four-year technical degree or six years of equivalent work experience.
• Experience with production planning and material management, including JIT, MRP, CRP, Lean, or comparable waste-elimination processes.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC applications, including MS Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus experience with data collection and analysis systems and network environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate input from internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM certification.
• Experience with ISO 9000 or other quality management systems.
• Experience with Great Plains.
• Spanish language skills.
