Area Sales Manager (Recycling)

Location: Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with remote work from a home office

What you will do

• Drive business growth across Southeast Asian recycling markets.
• Develop new business opportunities and manage customer relationships across multiple countries.
• Promote sensor-based sorting solutions in the waste and metal recycling industries.
• Develop and execute long-term regional growth strategies.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager, New Markets, Head of Sales APAC, customers, partners, suppliers, and internal technical experts.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of sales experience in B2B capital equipment, industrial equipment, industrial automation, recycling, plastics, materials processing, or related industries.
• Experience developing business across multiple Southeast Asian markets.
• Experience selling high-value technical solutions and capital equipment using consultative and value-based selling approaches.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a relevant discipline.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, results-oriented, independent, and able to collaborate with regional and global teams.

Nice to have

• Fluent Mandarin Chinese.
• Additional Southeast Asian languages, such as Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experience in multinational companies.
• Engineering or technical background.
