Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

A fintech payments business operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of a banking corporation, providing a Payments-as-a-Service platform for B2C payment solutions.

What you will do

• Build and deliver solutions for internal and external clients across the full software development life cycle.
• Develop and support a high-availability, multi-tiered platform used globally.
• Collaborate with developers, QA testers, and business partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in production support, peer code reviews, and urgent bug resolution.
• Improve platform scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and fraud monitoring.
• Help establish effective software engineering practices within a small programming team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of object-oriented development experience.
• 3+ years of experience designing and administering MySQL databases.
• 4+ years of experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Amazon API Gateway, and Lambda experience.
• Experience building RESTful or GraphQL API frameworks; advanced written and verbal communication skills. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation System or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services, Amazon QuickSight, or NoSQL DynamoDB.
