Senior Resident Engineer/Structures Representative (Bridge Construction)

Location: Ontario, California, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $170,800–$240,200 annually

What you will do

• Represent the company and client at the work site for structures construction activities.
• Analyze and review falsework, shoring, prestressing, and other structures-related submittals and plans.
• Inspect falsework elements and other construction work in the field to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare progress, technical, special issues, and cost estimate reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, the Project Manager, agency personnel, and senior staff to resolve project issues.
• Manage documentation, contract compliance, safety requirements, inspection staff, and quality management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license, with a California license preferred.
• 15+ years of experience with complex bridge construction and experience serving as Structures Representative on at least three bridge projects valued at $50 million or more each.
• Required construction management experience on Caltrans projects or projects under Caltrans oversight.
• Experience overseeing company and local agency staff and subcontractors, coordinating with clients, and resolving project issues.
• Strong technical writing, reporting, communication, contractor coordination, and field inspection skills.

Nice to have

• Steel girder bridge and precast concrete girder bridge construction experience.
• Experience working within railroad rights-of-way.
