Pre Sales Engineer (Cisco)

Location: Washington, DC, USA; residency within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area is required

What you will do

• Manage long-term client relationships and act as the primary contact for inquiries and concerns.
• Assess client technical requirements and design tailored IT solutions with sales and technical teams.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations aligned with client needs.
• Maintain client information, including network configurations, service histories, and project details.
• Create network drawings and technical documentation for helpdesk and engineering teams.
• Coordinate client projects, budgets, timelines, and opportunities to expand services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of client management experience in the IT services industry, preferably with an MSP.
• Strong expertise in network infrastructure, Cisco technologies, and cloud services.
• Experience in pre-sales engineering, including designing and presenting IT solutions.
• Excellent organization, communication, and client and project management skills.
• CCNP or higher certification.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
