Lead Security Architect (Cloud Data & AI)

What you will do

• Own the security architecture and multi-year roadmap for a Microsoft Azure-based cloud data, analytics, and AI platform.
• Design Zero Trust identity, access, network segmentation, firewall, encryption, key management, and data protection controls.
• Secure data ingestion, storage, processing, pipelines, and AI model deployment, including sensitive and ITAR-controlled information.
• Implement governance, monitoring, auditing, DLP, data lineage, SIEM integration, and incident response processes.
• Develop security and trust frameworks for AI services and agents, including model endpoint protection, data governance, and responsible AI guardrails.
• Bridge cybersecurity and data/AI teams while promoting security-by-design, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of combined information security and/or cloud architecture experience, including 5+ years leading security for cloud data platforms or enterprise analytics solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure, AWS, or GCP and cloud data services such as data lakes, warehouses, and streaming platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, SSO, MFA, RBAC, network security, cryptography, PKI, DLP, cloud monitoring, SIEM, and automated security controls.
• Experience securing regulated data and implementing controls for ITAR, CMMC/NIST 800-171, SOC/ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, or similar frameworks.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, or AWS Security are strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar modern analytics platforms.
• Master’s degree or MBA.
