Fab Process Development Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Beaverton, Oregon; onsite cleanroom work. Regular schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Pay: $18.80–$24.68 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and background.

What you will do

• Process thin-film substrates through metal etching, plating, photolithography, and other fabrication operations.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate complex specialized equipment while following system-driven workflows and established procedures.
• Perform final substrate inspections and monitor product quality against defined standards.
• Collect, organize, and analyze statistical process control data to evaluate process performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and product quality.
• Develop expertise in at least one fabrication department, author process documentation, and train other technicians.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of related experience in operative or technician roles involving complex machinery or processes.
• Experience or ability to work with chemicals and solvents while following safety and environmental procedures.
• Ability to work for extended periods in a cleanroom while wearing a full protective suit, goggles, gloves, and other PPE.
• Ability to work at a microscope for prolonged periods, up to approximately 80% of a shift.
• Ability to push and pull materials weighing 10–15 lb and routinely lift materials weighing up to 6 lb.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, multitasking, data evaluation, problem-solving, and process-procedure skills.
