Product Technology Manager (Fire Protection)

Location: Greenville, South Carolina, United States; onsite. The role is also described as based out of Liberty, South Carolina. Up to 50% domestic travel is required.

What you will do

• Answer technical questions about fire sprinkler products by telephone and email.
• Educate and support customers, specifying engineers, end users, sales teams, and internal departments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and provide input on new products and improvements.
• Plan and deliver hands-on, classroom, and technical presentation training for personnel, sprinkler designers, fitters, customers, and industry associations.
• Troubleshoot products and represent the company at industry events.
• Support sales activities and promote safe working practices, including operation of a valve demonstration trailer.

Requirements

• Associate degree in fire protection, mechanical technology, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler system design and installation.
• Detailed knowledge of NFPA standards, FM Global Loss Prevention Data Sheets, fire sprinkler systems, and design and installation practices.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications and present to large groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Ability to safely operate a pickup truck and trailer combination exceeding 15,000 pounds and occasionally lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
