Fire Protection Engineer (5+ years)

Location: Houston Metro, Texas, United States; full-time office position

What you will do

• Design automatic suppression, fire detection, alarm, and mass notification systems.
• Analyze existing fire protection systems and develop new system designs.
• Perform building and fire code analysis, life-safety and egress analysis, and fire-resistant construction reviews.
• Conduct smoke control special inspections, research, and technical report writing.
• Manage day-to-day communication with internal and external clients and support new work development.
• Manage internal projects and address external client requirements.

Requirements

• At least five years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; a fire protection-specific degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• General building construction knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
