What you will do
- Develop the air and ocean import product through operations, finance, sales, people, systems, and culture initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, evaluate, and develop department staff while maintaining goals, job descriptions, development plans, and regular team meetings.
- Manage department organization, business planning, productivity metrics, process efficiency, standard operating procedures, and operational reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.
- Build vendor relationships with airlines, trucking companies, and other logistics providers while managing service quality and costs.
- Develop customer business, support sales and retention, provide pricing and routing solutions, and oversee new-business transitions.
Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent business experience.
- Four years of industry-specific qualifications or experience, depending on the country.
- Knowledge of company policies, logistics products, services, systems, market conditions, and competition.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, leadership, and autonomous working skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
- Emotional resilience, openness to feedback, initiative, integrity, and a role-model leadership approach.

- Graduate of an IATA/FIATA introductory course.
