Branch Manufacturing Engineer (Lean Manufacturing)

Location: McKinney, Texas, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: $75,100–$97,600 per year

What you will do

• Improve manufacturing processes and methods to reduce costs, improve quality, eliminate waste, and increase efficiency.
• Identify automation needs, research and purchase manufacturing technologies, and manage equipment projects from vendor negotiation through delivery.
• Lead Kaizen associates in identifying bottlenecks, analyzing data, implementing countermeasures, and evaluating process changes.
• Develop innovative manufacturing methods, improve production capacity, and resolve process problems.
• Create and maintain standard work instructions, present findings and recommendations, and train manufacturing associates.
• Travel domestically up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required at minimum.
• At least 2 years of experience working in or completing projects in a manufacturing plant.
• Experience with project management, scheduling, risk management, presentations, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process modeling, statistical methods, root cause analysis, time studies, automation, ergonomics, capacity planning, and value stream analysis.
• Strong data collection and analytical skills; AutoCAD experience is relevant to the role.
