Field Technician I (TWIC Card Required)

What you will do

• Collect product and raw-material samples during transfers to containers, vessels, barges, trucks, and rail.
• Label sample containers and paperwork with identification data, location, date, and collection time.
• Deliver samples to the laboratory and perform preparation, reduction, division, screening, and physical testing.
• Organize and clean sampling equipment and containers before and after use.
• Wear task-specific PPE and follow local and federal safety procedures.
• Support preparation or laboratory duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required unless required by state law.
• TWIC card may be required.
• A valid current driver’s license may be required when driving a company vehicle; a 24-hour MSHA certificate may also be required, with training available.
• Intermediate English required; advanced English preferred.
• Basic mathematics, intermediate reasoning, communication, document interpretation, independent work, and ability to follow directions are required.

• Eight-hour rotating shifts change every two weeks: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m., and 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m.
