Field Application Engineer (Satellite IoT)

What you will do

• Advise OEMs and device partners on architecture and design decisions for satellite network performance and commercial readiness.
• Support firmware and software integration throughout the development lifecycle and troubleshoot issues using device logs and PCAP traces.
• Collaborate with device manufacturers, chipset makers, and module partners on hardware integration, software development, certification, and validation.
• Design standardized processes, documentation, and tools for device onboarding, SIM provisioning, and network visibility.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering and translate complex cellular and satellite concepts into actionable requirements.
• Develop partner self-service resources and feedback channels, including knowledge bases and diagnostic utilities.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in the telecommunications, chipset, or module industry.
• Deep expertise in LTE, VoLTE, NAS, and SMS call flows, including modem-log and PCAP-trace analysis.
• Knowledge of RAN, EPC, 5G Core, packet and signaling gateways, and network virtualization.
• Strong command of HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and ICMP networking protocols.
• Understanding of device-level interfaces and protocols across LTE and IoT ecosystems and consumer operating systems.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for automation, diagnostics, and development; daily use of AI tools with independent review of outputs.
