Field Services Technician

Location: Scarborough, Maine, USA; approximately 70% field work and up to 30% laboratory support and courier duties

Salary: $20–$22 per hour, dependent on experience, plus overtime eligibility

What you will do

• Collect environmental water, soil, and air samples for industrial and municipal clients.
• Travel to sampling sites and communicate with team members, clients, and vendors.
• Maintain equipment, prepare sampling containers, collect samples, and complete required documentation.
• Use pumps, bailers, programmable instrumentation, and meters to collect samples and record field conditions.
• Provide routine and technical laboratory support and assist with sample management and courier duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• English required; basic mathematics, reasoning, and computer skills.
• Clean driving record required and ability to drive up to four hours at a time to sampling sites.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round, remain on foot for much of the day, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a small team after training, and perform in a highly productive environment.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline.
