Senior Claims Adjuster - Casualty Coverage and Mass Tort

Location: NJ-Jersey City; primarily in the office

Salary: $86,000–$106,000 base annual salary for positions based in New Jersey

What you will do

• Evaluate coverage under sophisticated insurance products, including GL and environmental policies.
• Handle complex litigation and coverage matters involving long-tail bodily injury, property damage, construction defect, environmental, and toxic tort claims.
• Hire and manage counsel supporting coverage evaluations and the defense of insureds.
• Assess damages and the financial impact on hirify.global and its insureds with support from outside experts.
• Develop and execute claim-resolution strategies, including negotiations with insureds and third parties.
• Advise claims, business, and underwriting leaders on exposures, product enhancements, and emerging risks such as PFAS and opioids.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in legal, insurance, construction defect, or environmental work preferred.
• Ability to handle complex claims involving diverse coverage issues related to general liability and environmental policies.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and investigation skills.
• Ability to work primarily in the office in Jersey City, New Jersey.
